In 1926

Asakusa was thriving as the entertainment center of Teito. Centering Sensou-ji temple where people found a home in religion, massive amusement facilities such as movies, theaters and Hanayashiki Park stood side by side.

A lot of workers and highly educated people in pursuit of the glamorous air went to Asakusa day after day. The most outstanding place was Ryousan-kaku which was commonly called Asakusa 12-Story building. At a height of 52 meters, closer to the clouds than any other building in Japan and views of everything in Teito.
